During the last few years, a growing number of research projects was set up and expertise was acquired in for instance human sciences, business, linguistics, health care, social work, music, audio-visual and fine arts. The research conducted at our institution is mainly applied research. We aim to be very approachable for the socio-economic environment of our region, which results in a substantial amount of contract research for third parties (very often SME's).

The Centre for Entrepreneurship is a bridge between higher education and entrepreneurs. Students answer questions from entrepreneurs (drafting a business plan, market research, …) and entrepreneurs get assistance while expanding their businesses.
