The global e-textiles market is projected to roughly double in ten years' time. The defence, sports, and healthcare sectors dominate the market. With its cross-sectoral and multidisciplinary approach, FTILab+ succeeds in developing promising prototypes and offering innovative solutions to current connectivity and sustainability challenges
Our current projects.

SmartWear ('23-'26)
With SmartWear, we are bringing the technology developed in the SmartSeam project closer to the user and aiming to optimize its design.

MAGNETEX ('24-'26)
Within the domain of e-textiles, one of the primary challenges remains the connector. The goal of this project is to develop and optimize a new and innovative connector system for e-textiles, addressing current limitations regarding maintenance, user-friendliness, reliability, and comfort.
