Health and Water Technology is a research centre that brings expertise in biochemical technology.
Our research focuses on two domains:
- Phage therapy: good health and well-being for all (SDG3) through the development of biomedical and biotechnical analyses in the field of medical laboratory diagnostics. Our aim is to better understand and combat resistant microorganisms, while exploring alternative or complementary treatments to sustainably improve public health.
- Biological water purification: availability of water and sustainable water management for all (SDG6) by focusing on monitoring of water quality and optimisation of wastewater treatment. Special attention is given to the reuse and valorization of wastewater streams, with a view toward circular and climate-resilient solutions.
