During Week Without Borders, HOGENT study programmes and research centers organize curriculum-based activities around societal challenges. Students can work across disciplines and connect with researchers, professional organizations or international partners to explore ideas and perspectives beyond their own field of study.
We invite our international partners to help shape the week. You can propose an activity for students, join our international partner programme from Wednesday to Friday, or do both!
Looking forward to welcoming you at HOGENT University of Applied Sciences and Arts!
Contribute to an activity for students.
Would you like to share your expertise through a guest lecture, workshop, seminar or another activity? Tell us about your idea and the societal challenge it addresses. Activities can take place throughout the week, from Monday 22 to Friday 26 March.
We will review your proposal and look for a suitable HOGENT study programme to host the activity and develop it with you. You are welcome to submit an idea whether or not you already have a contact at HOGENT. If you do, please mention them in the form.
Submit your activity proposal by the end of October 2026
Proposal for activity during Week Without Borders
Submitting a proposal does not yet confirm that an activity will take place. We will first review whether your proposal fits the concept of Week Without Borders and explore which HOGENT study programme could host and shape the activity with you. We will then contact you about the outcome and next steps.
Join the international partner programme.
From Wednesday 24 to Friday 26 March, HOGENT International Office will offer an additional programme for international partners. It will provide opportunities to discover HOGENT, exchange ideas and meet colleagues and partners from around the world. As tradition goes, our incoming partners are also invited to a dinner in the heart of Ghent on Thursday evening!
The partner programme is open to all international partners, including those who are not organizing an activity for students. You can choose which parts of the programme you would like to attend.
Registration for the international partner programme
We are currently putting the programme together and will share it on this webpage and via email before the Christmas break. Submitting an activity proposal does not register you for the partner programme.
