In a superdiverse society, clear and inclusive communication is essential. We are helping to build a system of care and well-being in which everyone feels heard and understood, including people with limited language proficiency or those who speak a different language.
Our projects provide healthcare and well-being professionals with the tools and insights they need to communicate in a diversity-sensitive way, address cultural and language differences openly, and remove barriers to access. Together, we are working towards more accessible and equitable care.
Our current projects
Inclusive healthcare communication
This research project focuses on improving communication between healthcare professionals and non-native speaking patients with diabetes and hypertension in a super-diverse society.
Carefree pregnancy
The overall objective of the project is to develop a hybrid care pathway (a new service) for pregnant women with hypertension (and, for now, no other underlying detected conditions).
COMPAC
The project explores how pain communication can be improved in culturally diverse patient populations, enabling healthcare professionals to better understand and respond to patients’ pain and reduce the risk of inadequate or inappropriate treatment.
FAITH 4.0
The project focuses on the sustainable implementation of the digital conversation tools LifeCity and LifeTree to help children and young people recognise and regulate their emotions, build resilience and communicate their needs.
